Davis Cup: Guam sweeps Turkmenistan 3-0 in another Davis Cup victory!

Guam does it again with a second-straight sweep in Davis Cup by BNP Paribas play in two days, this time against Turkmenistan!

Christopher Cajigan is on a roll, winning his second-straight Davis Cup singles match against Turkmenistan’s Atlymyrat Gurbanov 7-5, 7-5!

Second Davis Cup tie win was secured by Guam’s Danny Llarenas. Danny defeated Turkmenistan’s Yuriy Roguskiy 7-6(6), 6-4 in one hour and 43 minutes.

Guam tandem of Mason Caldwell and Jean-Pierre Huynh gave Guam their second 3-0 win sweep when they played Turkmenistan’s Hadzhymyrat Charyyev and Gurbanberdi Gurbanberdiyev in doubles play winning 7-6(6), 2-6, 6-1.

Guam seeds itself tied for 2nd with Bahrain whom they will also face next. Match time is today, Feb.1, at 4pm Guam time. Guam then challenges Tajikistan on Feb. 2 for final placements on their pool. The countries who places in the top two seeds of Pool B will move on to compete against the top two countries of Pool A for a chance to promote their country to Group III.
